Fleming and Melby Arrest

On 04/03/2019 at 0226 hours a Worth County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 1998 Blue Chevy Blazer on the 4100 Block of Wheelerwood Ave. The driver identified as Bridget Antonia Fleming of Mason City was arrested for driving while suspended. A backseat passenger identified as Phillip John Melby of Forest City was arrested on a Felony 1st degree Burglary warrant out of Cerro Gordo County. A search of the vehicle was conducted. Fleming and Melby were transported to the Worth County Jail. Melby was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd/subsequent Offense(aggravated),Possession of Drug Paraphernalia(simple),Provide False Identification Information(simple),Open Container Passenger over 21(simple). Fleming was also charged with Forgery(D Feloy), 4 Counts of Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Offense(aggravated), Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drug(serious), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia(simple). Iowa State Patrol assisted in the traffic stop. All individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
