Grain Bin Accident

On September 24th 2018 at 1127 a.m. the Worth County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of an 80 y/o male possibly trapped inside a grain bin. Emergency crews arrived and the subject was later located inside the bin unresponsive. At this time the name of the subject is not being released due to notifying the next of kin. Assisting the Worth County Sheriff’s Office at the scene was the Manly Police Department, Iowa DOT Motor Vehicle Enforcement, Manly Fire & Rescue, Kensett Fire & Rescue, Northwood Fire & Rescue, Mason City Ambulance, Life flight 2 out of Fort Dodge, Viafield Coop, POET, and several area farmers.
