Manly Assault

On June 21, 2017 the Worth County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 1540 368th St for a 59 year old male that had been assaulted. When Manly rescue and Worth County Deputies arrived they found the male outside with severe facial trauma. The subject was conscious and breathing at the arrival time of emergency personnel.  The subject was transported to Mercy Medical Center North Iowa by Mason City Ambulance and subsequently transferred to the University of Iowa Hospital.  The extent of the injuries are currently unknown. The Worth County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Manly Fire & Rescue and Mason City Ambulance. The incident is currently under investigation by the Worth County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
